Law Enforcement DayNorthwood hosted a “Law Enforcement Day” on Thursday, May 9th. There were several agencies represented at the event including the Oklahoma City Police, the Canadain County Sheriff, EMSA, the Oklahoma City Bomb Squad, and the Oklahoma City Fire Department. Students were able to see the many types of vehicles that our law enforcement use on a daily basis. They were able to climb inside cars, sit on police motorcycles, see police K-9s, and even get to see a police helicopter.

Northwood also recognized their school resource officer, Deputy Chris Contreras. Deputy Contreras is at Northwood every day and every time you see him in the building he has positive interactions kids and is also willing to help out in any way that he can.

Deputy Contreras said "I like being at Northwood because the kids are sweet and kind. I enjoy playing games with them in the gym and I also enjoy when they get excited when I visit their classes."
